BARO-VNAV Steep angle

BARO-VNAV Steep angle approaches are addressed in both precision and non-precision segments in the manual. Mitigation is required to exceed 3.5 degrees. BARO-VNAV chapter however states that the max angle is 3.5 degrees. Anyone know of a place where steep angle BARO-VNAV procedures are used? My thoughts are that if you can mitigate in accordance with the manual e.g. appendix to chapter 5 on non-precision - the same arguments can be made for BARO-VNAV - Although I would probably use the precision mitigation.
